Lecture Overview:
The development of digital technologies, such as digital communication tools, artificial intelligence (AI), and robots, is reshaping organizations in many ways. In this talk, I will present several ongoing projects that illustrate my perspective on the roles and impacts of digital technologies. These projects highlight how technology-mediated communication influences coordination within and between teams, as well as how the integration of AI and robots affects employees.
Speaker Bio:
Dr. Hu Qiongjing received his Ph.D. from the Guanghua School of Management at Peking University and is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Leadership and Organizational Management at Zhejiang University’s School of Management. His research focuses on leadership behavior, status, team composition, and other factors in team settings, providing insights into interaction patterns within teams to foster high-performance teamwork. His work has been published in Journal of Management World, Acta Psychologica Sinica, Academy of Management Journal, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Journal of Business Venturing, Human Relations, Journal of Business Ethics, and other journals in both Chinese and English. In recent years, he has begun exploring how digitalization reshapes leadership, team processes, and other significant organizational outcomes.
