The major of Labor and Social Security aims to cultivate versatile professionals with a broad international perspective on disciplines and policies, as well as solid theoretical knowledge and practical abilities in Chinese social security with distinctive characteristics. These professionals are capable of engaging in various aspects of social security, employment and livelihoods, human resources, talent management, and other related fields. They possess the competence for social security professional research, administrative affairs management in social security and organizational systems, or enterprise human resources management. They contribute to the promotion of high-quality and sustainable development of social security undertakings. The program lasts four years and awards a Bachelor of Management degree.

B.A. IN LABOR RELATIONS

This major aims to cultivate top-notch professionals for various levels of government, enterprises, international organizations, and other social organizations. These professionals have solid theoretical knowledge, effective methodological training, and a deep understanding of the fields of work, labor, and employment, coupled with a strong sense of serving the people. Adhering to the principles of wide-ranging knowledge and solid foundations, the major promotes interdisciplinary characteristics, with a core knowledge system based on 'pluralism + unity', while also considering perspectives from other disciplines. Meanwhile, inheriting the fine tradition of applied science in labor relations, the major takes on the mission of addressing the 'real problems' of the labor world, serving the core needs of government labor relations governance and enterprise labor relations management, and balancing other social demands.

In addition, the school has established the Global Labor Governance Program, jointly organized by the School of Labor and Human Resources and the School of Law at Renmin University of China. The program integrates skill modules such as global labor relations governance, transnational human resource management, and international labor and employment law into the traditional interdisciplinary training system for labor relations and law. It focuses on cultivating high-level, cutting-edge, interdisciplinary global labor governance professionals who possess solid knowledge in labor relations and law, and are equipped with the skills to participate in the formulation of international labor policies and standards, engage in foreign-related legal practices, and manage transnational human resources.
