About SLHR
HISTORY
l The School of Labor and Human Resources was established in 1983 as the first institution in China's labor field, jointly founded by Renmin University of China and the former Ministry of Labor and Personnel. In 2000, it became affiliated with Renmin University of China.
l In 1993, it pioneered in China by transforming the Personnel Management major into Human Resource Management, becoming the first school in the country to enroll undergraduate students majoring in Human Resource Management.
l In 1994, it established the first doctoral program in Labor Economics nationwide and admitted doctoral students for the first time.
l In 2003, the school was granted the authority to confer doctoral degrees in Social Security, becoming the first institution in China to enroll doctoral students in this field. In the same year, the Human Resource Management major became the only discipline in the country with a complete training system for bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees.
l In 2013, the Labor Relations undergraduate major was approved as a newly added special program by the Ministry of Education and became the first in the country to enroll doctoral students in Labor Relations.
l In 2021, it became the only institution in the country to be approved for the Master Program in Human Resource Development and Management.
