LU Quan is a Professor of Social Security and a Ph.D. supervisor at the School of Labor and Human Resources, Renmin University of China. He also serves as the Secretary-General of the China Association of Social Security and the Deputy Director of the China Social Security Research Center at Renmin University of China. Professor LU Quan has long been dedicated to the research of social security theory and policy in China, with a focus on China's aging population and pension security system, social security management system, and the process of social policy in China. He has visited and exchanged ideas at institutions such as the Max Planck Institute in Germany and the London School of Economics and Political Science in the UK. He has undertaken research projects commissioned by international organizations such as the Asian Development Bank and HelpAge International, and has been invited by the World Bank, OECD, and the International Social Security Association to attend international conferences in various countries and present on the reform of China's social security system.
