Lecture Overview

This talk will review challenges in the world of work and the debates in the field of HRM and employment relations. It will introduce the key themes of research in work and employment relations in the West, with a focus on the most recent and ongoing research projects conducted in Russell Group institutions in the UK. This talk may also inspire ideas for undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations.

Speaker Bio

Dr. Hu Yujie is a Lecturer in Work, Employment Relations, and Human Resource Management at the University of Leeds, UK, and the Program Director for the MSc in Human Resource Management at Leeds University Business School. Her research interests include work-life balance, AI and employee performance, digital capabilities, and sustainability. She has published academic papers in international journals such as Geosystems and Geoenvironment and Ciência Rural and has frequently presented at international academic conferences, including the Society for the Advancement of Socio-Economics (SASE)’s Annual Meeting and the University Annual Student Education Conference.
