October 30, 2024

Recently, the results of the 14th "Qian Xuesen Urban Studies Golden Award" were officially announced. Associate Professor Li Lele from the School of Labor and Human Resources (SLHR) received recognition for his monograph Exploration and Practice of Integrated Medical Communities and Hierarchical Medical Systems.

This book is a product of the National Natural Science Foundation of China project led by Associate Professor Li Lele (Grant No. 72204251). Combining theory with empirical evidence, the book explores integrated medical communities and hierarchical medical systems through foundational theories and representative case studies. The work is divided into two main sections: the Theory Section, which provides a systematic introduction to concepts like integrated medical care, hierarchical medical systems, and the background of these models, and the Case Study Section, which presents seven representative cases from China. The book offers valuable references for reform in these systems within the Chinese context.

The "Qian Xuesen Urban Studies Golden Award" is China’s first comprehensive academic award in the field of urban studies, initiated by the Hangzhou International Urban Studies Research Center and authoritative academic institutions. Qian Xuesen was a pioneer in urban studies, establishing systems theory as a foundation for urban research. This award honors Qian’s contributions and promotes his research concepts and methodologies to advance urban studies. The evaluation process, designed to ensure fairness and impartiality, includes five stages: preliminary selection, initial evaluation, remote review, concentrated review, and final assessment, with all submissions reviewed anonymously.
