China New Quality Productive Forces Talent Index Report Released in Shenzhen

July 28, 2024

Recently, the 'China New Quality Productive Forces Talent Index Report' was released in Shenzhen, aiming to provide guidance and support for the career development and advancement of new quality productive forces talent.

This report was jointly completed by experts and researchers from Shenzhen Publishing Group's Shenzhen Press, the Talent Strategy and Governance Research Center at the Advanced Institute of Social Sciences (Shenzhen) of Renmin University of China, the School of Labor and Human Resources at Renmin University of China, and Tongdao Liepin Group.

The report conducted regional and city-level evaluations based on China's vast territory and large population. Regionally, the new quality productive forces talent index in the eastern region far exceeds that of other regions. In terms of cities, Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen, known for their strong economic strength, talent aggregation, and innovation capabilities, have the highest new quality productive forces talent indices among the 70 major cities nationwide.

Additionally, the report analyzes key industries such as new energy vehicles and artificial intelligence, and examines talent-driven cases from top enterprises or regions, summarizing the insights and achievements of leading companies in the study of new quality productive forces talent.

The report suggests that there is still considerable room for development in the overall level of new quality productive forces talent construction in China. There are significant disparities in the talent indices between cities, and the development of new quality productive forces talent across different regions and evaluation dimensions is uneven.

In response to this situation, the report offers policy recommendations from four aspects: system, platform, mechanism, and institution, to comprehensively propose a new framework for cultivating high-end technological talent.
