1. Lecture Topic: Marketization and Chinese Union Politics
In the 21st century, the labor relations marketization in our country has been basically completed. Union is main power of employees in labor relations. It has to grasp the profundity and realistic characteristics of labor relations change, effectively protecting workers' rights as well as building harmonious labor relations through suitable measures to the Chinese situation. Several famous young scholars in the study of trade union will be invited to the lecture, introducing the development background and related environment of union, and discuss the effect of union in the process of constructing harmonious labor relations.
2. Main Speaker: Xiaoyi Wen
Xiaoyi Wen, Doctor, Vice Professor in School of Chinese Labor Relationship, and Department Head of Human Resource Management
Research Areas: Trade union system, Theory and practice of collective bargaining, Employees' collective action. Dr. Wen presided several projects supported by national social science fund, like Participating Mechanism of Labor Relations. She also published many papers in core journals, such as Inside National Mechanism of Collective Bargaining and the Transformation of Workers’ Mass Incidents and Governance Management, as well as published books like the Historical Evolution of the Human Resource Management.
