15th Lecture of Biweekly Forum on Labor Economics

   


   The 15th seminar of the Labor Economics Biweekly Forum, co-sponsored by the Institute of labor Economics of our school and the Employment Institute of China, will be held on March 3rd (Wednesday) from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm. This is the first seminar of the forum held in this semester. The relevant details are announced as follows:
    1. Title of the Lecture: Job Quality and Economic Independence of Welfare Users
    2. Lecturer: Dr Qi Hao
    Dr. Qi Hao received his Ph.D on economics of Department of Economics in University of Wisconsin-Madison. Now he is involving in research and teaching on economics at Wang Yanan Institute for Economic Research, Xiamen University. Dr. Qi Hao’s research interests are: public economics, labor economics, econometrics (analysis of microeconomics applications) and the U.S. anti-poverty policy, etc. Dr. Qi has a deep research on the labor market and welfare issues, his representative papers are: A Structural Analysis of Mothers’ Work and Welfare Participation Decisions and Children’s Attainments, The Effects of the Expansion in the EITC Program and Welfare Time Limits on Single Mothers’ Welfare and Work Decisions, The Effects of Single Mothers’ Welfare and Labor Force Participation Decisions on Children’s Attainments, etc.
